REFLEXOLOGY IS AN ANCESTRAL ART THAT IS PART OF NATURAL MEDICINES

Reflexology would have originated in Peru, around 12,000 years BC, this technique has been practiced in China and India for more than 5,000 years and under ancient Egypt.

We usually don't care much about our feet, yet they have important functions:

  • They are the connection with the earth and link the spirit to the universe

  • They carry us throughout our life

  • More than 70,000 nerve endings are located in the feet, an accessible surface and highly effective therapeutically

The foot is the miniaturized representation of the human body, each "reflex zone" corresponds to an organ, a gland or a part of the body. A specific touch on each reflex zone helps localize tensions and restore balance in the corresponding body parts. The operation of this technique is based on the eastern principle of dividing the body into ten longitudinal zones called meridians. They are energy channels running through all parts of the body and they find their ends at the level of the feet.

Foot reflexology is safe, natural and represents a simple alternative to maintain a physical, mental and spiritual balance.

Process
of a session

The strength of the symbol of the foot in Japanese culture, spirituality and healing is expressed in the legendary footprint of the foot, the "Bussoku-Seki" of the seated Buddha (AD 753)

A reflexology session is practiced on a massage table, dressed with bare feet. I welcome you in a warm atmosphere with soft music conducive to relaxation.

Comfortably installed with different cushions, plaid, heating blanket, I optimize your comfort for your well-being before you start. During your first session, the principles of plantar reflexology are explained to you, then I take a short 10 to 15 minute history in order to listen to your bodily feelings and your expectations.

After making contact with your feet and a few deep breaths that we take together, I exercise the first relaxation movements to release tension and allow relaxation.

A treatment protocol will then be applied to all of your body's systems (lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, digestive, immune, etc.). Certain areas of tension and sensitive points will be perceived, signs of imbalance, which will allow me to adapt my touch by pressure on the reflex zones of the corresponding organs to be stimulated.

Your session ends with a few massages and strokes from the toes to the knees, techniques derived from Thai plantar reflexology, which provides double the effectiveness of the work of the lympathic system. I like to mix these two manual practices and use for this end of the session, a balm or a vegetable oil associated with targeted essential oils to facilitate the fluidity of the movements. Relaxation and the feeling of well-being are then to the maximum to conclude your unique experience.

Plantar Reflexology is only there to prevent and support your treatment, it is not there to diagnose and cannot replace medical treatment.
