More commonly known as the "touch of the heart", Californian massage is a psycho-bodily practice dating from the 70s. Californian massage is a global approach which aims as much at relaxation as at awakening a psycho-corporal consciousness. This massage uses long, slow and fluid movements that allow deep physical and mental relaxation. This massage also comes under different names: harmonic, neurosensory, holistic or sensitive massage.

The benefits of Californian massage:

  • Relieve tension (physical and mental)

  • Relieve muscle contraction due to psychosomatic processes

  • Re-balance emotional expenditure

  • Increase sensitivity and awareness of receptors in the body on the one hand, and the mind on the other

De plus en plus de médecins et de psychologues prescrivent le massage californien comme partie intégrante du traitement de maladies qui auparavant n’étaient traitées que chimiquement :

  • Anxiety, fear, insecurity, depression, stress, fatigue, insomnia

  • Recurring headaches, migraine

  • Back pain, muscle tension

  • The psychological feeling of disconnection with the self

Californian massage is open to everyone, regardless of age. It is particularly effective in relieving stressed workers, as well as patients after 50 years suffering from chronic pain.
